Professional Activities

Professor Mackey teaches across undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels. His teaching philosophy emphasizes providing practically useful and personally meaningful experiences for students that inform them about evidence-based practice. He leverages his research and expertise in organizational behavior and human resource management to teach students leadership skills. 

Professor Mackey's primary research interests are leadership, interpersonal mistreatment, and meta-analysis from a social exchange perspective. He has published dozens of journal articles on these topics. His research has been published in numerous academic journals, including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Personnel Psychology, and Strategic Management Journal.
